Come Celebrate the end of the 2010/2011 Season with us

Article posted May 2011

With the Summer break for your CARP Halton Chapter just a few short weeks away its time to think about end of Season celebrations. Please plan to join us on June 21st at the Halton Regional Centre on Bronte Road where we have reserved the Cafeteria from 6.00pm onwards. As many of you will know the Cafeteria has a very pleasant open plan setting which will allow ample opportunity to meet and socialize with everyone and to meet your Chapter volunteers.

We are planning for both a Social and an informative evening. Ross Mayot, Vice President Community Development for CARP will be one of our speakers and we will be announcing other speakers shortly.

We are in the process of arranging Sponsors who will have displays of their products and services available throughout the evening.

You will be able to enjoy a light tasty buffet .We will have entertainment and you may also win one of our door prizes.

You will know that CARP is a major voice for Seniors at the National level. With the support and participation of CARP members in Halton we can also have a major voice locally. For example we are continually being asked to participate in local initiatives. We can only do this with more volunteers. So please consider getting involved. You can call Tom Carrothers at 905 319 7345, send us an email to [email protected] or please feel free to speak with us at the meeting.

We recently asked our members what they think are the major issues facing seniors in Halton. The replies will help us plan for our 2011/2012 season which will begin in September. Please keep your ideas coming. Again you can call, send us an email or speak up at the meeting.

Please help us give Halton Chapter the voice it deserves on behalf of Seniors across our Region.
