Our next informative community meeting will be held on Tuesday May 24th., 2011, at the Burlington Seniors Centre, 2285 New St., adjacent to the Library and Arena. The meeting is open to everyone in Halton Region and is not intended to be for Burlington residents only.

Doors Open at 6:30 pm, meeting from 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Highlights Of Evening:

Opening Remarks by our Chairperson Tom Carrothers.

Tonight’s presenter is Steve Abdool. Steve is a recognized specialist in the field of Bioethics. who works with St Michael’s Hospital, the University of Toronto and The Regional Centre For Ethics.

Tonight, Steve will discuss how “Advanced Care Planning Impacts your Future Medical Care & Dignity”. He will present information about the nature and value of advanced care planning and doing this in a proper and meaningful way to keep YOU empowered regarding future care and medical treatments.

This will be followed by a short break after which, in addition to answering any questions you may have regarding tonight’s topic, we will spend a few minutes talking about CARP, answer any questions you may have, take suggestions for future meeting agendas and advocacy issues and update you on our chapter activities.

The meeting will adjourn between 8:30pm and 9:00pm with closing remarks from our Chairperson, Tom Carrothers.

There is no charge to attend this meeting. Everyone is welcome. Members bring a friend. Support your local chapter.
