Zoomer Magazine Wins Gold at the Canadian Newsstand Awards

Zoomer magazine, published for CARP members nine times per year, and available on newsstands across Canada, walked away with a Gold at the 10th annual Canadian Newsstand Awards ceremony on September 26th.

Zoomer dominated the General Interest category, winning a Gold award for its Winter 2010 issue, featuring best-selling author and wellness guru Deepak Chopra, and a Bronze for its September 2010 issue featuring the Dalai Lama. Cover photography for both award winning issues was by Canadian rock luminary and world-renowned photographer Bryan Adams.

Thirty magazines were named award finalists at the event. Zoomer magazine lead the pack with three nominations and was the only magazine to receive a nomination in more than one category.

Nominations and Awards were determined by quantitative and qualitative criteria for the entered issue.

This achievement reflects Zoomer magazine’s positive transformation under founder Moses Znaimer since the relaunch of CARP Magazine in October 2008, and the hard work of all the staff under Editor-in-Chief, Suzanne Boyd.  Congratulations all!!!
