“Your Passport to a Healthy Lifestyle!” – Saturday, April 21

The Ajax-Pickering chapter of CARP and the Ajax Library have collaborated to provide an exceptional day to explore local opportunities to create a healthy lifestyle.  The event will take place on Saturday, April 21st from 10:00am to 4:00pm at the Ajax Library – Main Branch, 55 Harwood Avenue South, Ajax.

You will have the opportunity to hear from some exceptional speakers on topics of local interest such as, ‘Parenting Your Parents’, ‘Don’t Just Retire – Live It, Love It’. Find out about new programs like ‘Home First’, ‘Home at Last’ and ‘GAIN’ and find out why the health care system is now taking a “patients first-caregivers first”
approach to health services.

Explore and talk to over 20 local service providers and businesses that are promoting healthy living and lifestyle, including new ventures like ‘Nordic Pole Walking’.  Feel free to drop by anytime during the day to pick up your “PASSPORT” and have it stamped at any or all of the displays.  Hand it in when you leave and be eligible for some great draw prizes for attending!

Check your calendars and “hold the date.” We will be providing more detail in the coming months.  This is a great opportunity for our residents to find out what is new and available in the community to live a healthy lifestyle.
