The lady in blue is Mahara Sinclaire, author of The Laughing Boomer, an informative book for anyone considering retirement.  Laughing with her are members of the Executive Board of your White Rock/Surrey Chapter.

Mahara and her partner sold their home and most of their possessions and put the rest in storage before travelling around the world for three years.  She encourages us to travel now if we want to and not put it off as we only have today.

Her book is relevant to those living in Canada as well as the United States and touches on topics such as health, family, finances as well as travel.

This was the first CARP luncheon meeting held at Crescent Gardens which is a member of the Chartwell Group (one of our Affinity partners).  We look forward to hosting more of these events and will keep you informed.
