The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH)

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, ON, is Canada’s largest mental health and addiction hospital. CAMH is committed to providing comprehensive, well-coordinated, accessible care for people who have problems with mental illness or addiction. Volunteers provide invaluable contributions through their involvement in Clinical Care, Research and Corporate Volunteer events.

Volunteer Opportunities include:

  • Friendly visiting with clients
  • Welcome Desk and Way finding
  • Leading recreation groups
  • Teaching and Tutoring clients
  • Pet Therapy
  • Spiritual Care
  • Providing support to families

Volunteering with CAMH will gives people an opportunity to get involved with the community, as well as increase their awareness and knowledge of mental health and addictions issues. Our volunteer force reflects the diversity of our community and draws on a wide range of skills and backgrounds.
