Acclaim Health Alzheimer Services is pleased to announce that they are  offering their next Mid to Late Stages of Dementia Discussion Series in Oakville starting on Tuesday, October 16.  A total of 5 sessions will be held on Tuesday mornings from 10.00am to 12.00pm at the Oakville Town Hall on Trafalgar Road.

These sessions are specifically designed for Family Caregivers who have been a caregiver for some time.  This series is not an introductory course, but rather focuses on care in the middle to late, to end stage of the disease. At this time in the caregiver’s life they will have begun contemplation of placement or will have recently had their relative assessed for placement.  Each session has been designed to involve the participants in discussion and reflection exercises to facilitate their understanding of the progression of the disease.
