We are pleased to inform everyone that CARP Halton Chapter was the featured guest on the Silver and Gold Show that will be aired on the Cogeco TV Community Channel during April. Expected air times are:
- · Sunday, April 21st at 8:30pm
- · Thursday, April 25th at 1:30pm, and
- · Sunday, April 28th at 5:30pm
- · This show sometimes airs Fridays as well
Chapter Chair Tom Carrothers along with Myrna Penny, our prime person for Sponsorship and Advertising, joined show host Silver and Gold Magazine founder and publisher Susanne Soto-Davies for a discussion on CARP in Halton Region.
We explained what CARP is and the many benefits at both the National and local level of CARP membership. Members are our most important asset. Strength in numbers is the foundation of our all of our activities, in particular for our Advocacy initiatives in Halton. Our strong membership base has also enabled us to develop an excellent Chapter Partner program. Chapter Partners offer value added services to our members.
We outlined our monthly meetings that we hold in both Milton and Burlington and that at these meetings we invite guest speakers to present topics of interest to our demographic.
Halton Chapter is celebrating 20 years of service to the Halton community in June of this year. We gave details of the concert we are planning that will highlight this significant milestone. This concert will be headlined by the legendary Peter Appleyard.
