Miscellaneous Details & Backgrounder

CARP and SFOT are delighted to jointly host the first ever Media Power Panel election candidate debate on May 1st for all Langley & Fort Langley/Aldergrove candidates prior to the Provincial Election.

This is the first ever Langley debate that will include candidates from both the Langley Provincial ridings at the same time and conducted entirely by a local media panel. The election candidates will be questioned by a three member Media Power Panel.

The Media Power Panel will develop and ask the questions as well as receive and ask audience and live Twitter questions from the public. This will also be the first ever internet live streaming debate in Langley.

The debate will commence at 7 PM and end at approximately 9 PM. It  will be preceded by a Candidate “Meet & Greet” event in the 4th Floor Foyer from 6 PM to 7 PM. Refreshments will be provided.

This non partisan debate is open to the public. All 800+ members of both hosting organizations will also be informed of the debate and invited to attend/participate.

Both host organizations will also be asking one question each of the candidates that is of significant importance for their members, demographics, and mission.
