CARP Members are Invited to Come on Down to the Ballpark, July 6th and 11th

Information posted June 23, 2013

Halton Chapter invites you to come on down to the ballpark. Nelson Park that is. Home of the Burlington Bandits baseball team.

Halton Chapter is pleased to promote the Burlington Bandits. The team was founded as the Burlington Twins in 2011 and have since changed ownership and name for the 2013 season.

With home field at Nelson Park, (behind Nelson High School on New St. between Appleby Line and Walkers Line)  one of the largest parks in Burlington and considered by many to be the standard for sports venues, the Bandits play in the Intercounty Baseball League.

Halton Chapter is very pleased to announce that two home dates, Saturday July 6th and Thursday July 11th have been designated CARP Days.  On both of these days CARP Members will enjoy a $1.00 discount off admission and will also enjoy discounts on those baseball favourites, hot dogs, hamburgers and alcoholic beverages.

Saturday July 6th Brantford Red Sox are the visitors. CARP members are invited to be there at 1.00pm to enjoy pre-game socialising with fellow CARP members. Game time is 2.00pm and following our singing of the National Anthem Chapter Partner Fred Crocket will throw out the first pitch.

Thursday July 11th Hamilton Cardinals will be the visitors. Game time is 7.00pm. Once again CARP members will lead the singing of the National Anthem and then Chapter Chair Tom Carrothers will throw out the first pitch

Please reserve these dates and plan to join your fellow chapter members for what promises to be most enjoyable days at the ballpark. And don’t forget your CARP membership card so that you can take advantage of the discounts.

Please visit the Bandits website to find out all you need to know about the team.
