Accessing In-home Physiotherapy Services in Mississauga and Halton Region

Information posted August 6, 2013

The Mississauga Halton Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) will become the single point of access for all publicly funded one-on-one in-home physiotherapy services in our region, commencing August 1, 2013. The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) is making several changes to the way physiotherapy and other services, such as exercises classes and falls prevention programs, will be funded and provided to Ontarians. This change is intended to ensure more seniors and other patients will have access to the right services to meet their needs.

Help is a phone-call away.

Mississauga Halton CCAC Physiotherapy Hotline – The Mississauga Halton CCAC has created a physiotherapy hotline 310-CCAC (2222) ext. 6913, no area code required, for patients and family members looking to find more information about one-on-one in-home physiotherapy services in our region.

The Mississauga Halton CCAC coordinates in-home and community support services, information and referral, and long-term care placement. It is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care through the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (MH LHIN) and serves a population of more than one-million residents in the communities of South Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville, Halton Hills and Milton.
