It’s back. “The 60-plus and going strong: Wellness 101″ seminar by Bayshore Home Health is being offered again with the goal to prolong your independence at home.
This FREE, eight-week certificate course is designed to promote long-term health, wellness and fall prevention in your home. Topics include:
- Flexibility, mobility and fall prevention
- Medication use and management
- Nutrition needs and management
- Brain health
- Navigating the health care system
- Powers of attorney and elder abuse prevention
- Self-Health Management: Action Plan Essentials
Now in its 3rd year, these informative events have previously been offered to CARP members and have always received positive reviews.
Bayshore Home Health is currently offering 2 sessions:
The first session will be held on Tuesdays and will commence October 8th and run until November 26th. Tuesday sessions will start at 10:00 am and will run until 12 noon at the NECTAR Community Centre, “The Community Room”, 255 Mackay Street, Ottawa. A lunch will be provided compliments of The Edinburgh Retirement Residence.
The second session will be held on Wednesdays and will commence October 9th and run until November 27th. Wednesday sessions will start at 10:00 am and will run until 11:30 am at the Nepean Seniors Centre, “Heritage Room”, 1701 Woodroffe Avenue, Ottawa (Entrance 3 of the Nepean Sportsplex).
