The United Way of Burlington & Greater Hamilton kicked off its 2013 annual campaign at the Royal Botanical Gardens Friday morning where the Burlington Bandits presented a cheque for $1,062 through the clubs 50/50 draws during the 2013 season.

“We are very happy to be able to give back to such a deserving charity that helps our community so much” said Bandits Owner Scott Robinson. “The Bandits will look to extend our partnership with United Way in an attempt to increase our donations for the 2014 season.”

The Burlington Bandits announced their partnership with United Way back in April, as part of the partnership half of the Bandits 50/50 draw at each home game would be donated to the United Way.
