Designed for family caregivers, this FREE eight week series will teach you how to care for a relative with dementia including Alzheimer disease, what to expect as the disease progresses, and which community resources are available to you.
Sessions are led by experts and are held Wednesday evenings, 7.00pm to 9.00pm, from April 9th to May 28th, at Tansley Woods Retirement Home in Burlington.
Sessions will include:

Understanding Changes in Behaviour: Halton Seniors Mental Health Outreach, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton
Communicating with Persons with Dementia: Education Coordinator, Acclaim Health
Community Support Services: Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) Community Care Access Centre and Acclaim Health Adult Day Service
Safety in the Home and Community: Halton Regional Police Elder Services Coordinator and Education Coordinator, Acclaim Health
