“For the past three summers, Burlington families have spent their summer days and nights at Nelson Park enjoying the best sports entertainment experience and value in town. That will continue as the Burlington Bandits today announced their 2014 Promotional Schedule, jam-packed with great events, giveaways and values to help all fans Join the Bandits Nation.
The 4th season of IBL baseball in Burlington begins on Opening Day, Saturday, May 10th (1:00 p.m.) as the Bandits host the rival Hamilton Cardinals at Nelson Park.
“From the action on the field to the fun-filled events off, Bandits baseball has a new reputation as being Burlingtons best family and sports experience,” said Scott Robinson, Bandits Owner. “With another fantastic lineup of promotions, giveaways and values, we are encouraging our fans to once again join the Bandits Nation at Nelson Park.”

There are several Bandits games throughout the summer that are immediately circled on fans’ calendars once the schedule is announced. Opening Day 2014 will be May 10 as the Bandits host Hamilton. The return of baseball to Burlington includes all the fanfare of a new year as well as a 2014 Magnetic Schedule giveaway, presented by One Hour Sign.
Thursday, May 22 and Thursday, July 24th marks Cheap Thursday at Nelson Park. For only $18 fans receive 2 tickets, 2 hotdogs/hamburgers, 2 soft drinks and 2 bags of chips.
Join us on July 17th for Bark in the Park. Dogs of all sizes, come out to Nelson Park for Bark in the Park and sit in our lawn seats to watch a great baseball game! First 100 dogs receive a FREE leash. Get social with the Burlington Bandits on Saturday, May 17th as the Bandits take on the Guelph Royals. Have your mobile phone or ipad ready as the Bandits will be giving away prizes through their official twitter page all game long!
On Saturday May 24 team mascot Billy is inviting all his friends to come hang out with him when the Bandits host the London Majors at 1 p.m. Local area mascots will be entertaining fans before the game and during the game in the stands. During the game Billy will challenge many of his friends to compete against him in competitions such as a relay race, hitting contest and many more.
Bandits annual Youth Baseball Day will take place on Saturday, June 7 against the Brantford Red Sox. All registered BOMBA baseball players receive a free ticket to Saturdays game.
On Saturday, June 14, take dad to the ball game presented by Dads Root Beer. It’s the Burlington Bandits annual Father’s Day Weekend Game presented by Dad’s Root Beer. Following the game all kids and their dads may play catch on the field in celebration of Father’s Day. Each fan that purchases items at the concession stand (expect alcoholic beverages) will receive a free Dad’s Root Beer. (Limited to one per customer).
Come to Nelson Park for Faith and Family Day on Saturday July 13 with post-game autographs, and kids can run the bases during and post-game. All church groups receive a FREE tickets (quantities limited). To inquire about bringing your group, contact us at [email protected].
