Computer Buddies

Churchill Meadows Library
The program pairs up older adults who want to learn more about computers with teen volunteers who can assist with one on one mentoring. The program is offered through one or two hour appointments, focusing on the specific needs of the older adult.

Meadowvale Library
Six week program held on Saturday mornings, pairing up older adults with teen volunteers who assist with one-on-one mentoring focusing on such topics as mouse and keyboard skills, Internet and email basics.

Remembering World War 1
Lorne Park Library, Friday Sept. 19, 2-4pm
Author and historian Jennifer Robson will read from her debut novel “Somewhere in France” on Friday September 19 at 2pm at the Lorne Park Library. All are welcome to this free author visit. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
As part of the event to honour the 100th anniversary of World War 1, patrons will be invited to share their family stories, memorabilia and photos of the era.
