HerStory a Sellout

CARP Cares!

Celebrating  Women’s History Month was easy with a sold-out crowd in attendance at our HerStory event held October 19th at Morgan Creek Golf Club.

In photo front row are Pattie Petrala, Chapter 11 secretary; Owen MacRae, Membership; Denice Thompson, Events; April Lewis, Communications; Derrick Smith, volunteer.

Back row features guest speakers, Velvet Steele, transgendered woman and social activist; Helen Burnham, co-founder of Avalon Addiction Recovery Centres for Women; Maggie de Vries, author, whose sister was one of Robert Pickton’s victims and Fashion Show c0-ordinator, Rhonda Jannett.

Your White Rock Surrey chapter was pleased to donate $2,200 to Avalon Recovery Centre in White Rock.

Another successful CARP Chapter event.
