The staff stuck her with needles as if she was an animal

My 88 year old mother was rushed to hospital emergency by ambulance two days in a row, unable to breathe, wheezing, and coughing to the point of choking.  She was left in a corridor in front of the nurses station from about 9 pm to 5 am the next day.  The doctor she finally saw was attentive but the remaining staff never approached her to check her condition unless I asked them to check her rising blood pressure, coughing fits, etc.

When doing blood work, the staff stuck her with needles as if she was an animal – no compassion or kindness was shown.  I was in tears watching her suffer.  I took her to the bathroom and got her back onto the bed without assistance from any staff.  There was, however, no lack of laughter and discussions about snacks behind the nurses station.  All of this taking place in a filthy hospital with  the stench of urine in the bathrooms, filthy floors.
