CARP presents to federal standing committees on government’s response to COVID-19

This month, CARP participated, via webconference, in 2 pivotal meetings addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and government’s response in regards to older adults.

Marissa Lennox, CARP’s Chief Policy Officer, presented on the financial concerns felt by our Members and the need to reexamine how we provide care to older adults, particularly in congregate settings like long-term care.

“While the latter is not the responsibility of the federal government alone, it is the duty of the federal government to make sure it doesn’t happen again,” Marissa points out.
