C.A.R.P. is hosting our first “Emergency Meeting of Members” this Friday, October 1st, on National Seniors Day, following the recent Federal Election and lack of attention given to the pressing issues of older Canadians.

As C.A.R.P. Chief Membership Officer, David Cravit, observed on the most recent episode of TheZoomer:

“The Parties have figured out how to ignore seniors and still hold serve.

Let’s face it, seniors issues are the easiest to talk about and one of the hardest to do anything about.

Everybody knows how to say the right things and express the right concerns, but none of them really address the substance of how deeply the structural problems are affecting older Canadians every day.

All the parties got away with this!

I can tell you that C.A.R.P. will be ‘armed and dangerous’ during upcoming election campaigns. We want to see specifics. We want honesty and we’re going to make people pay at the polls if they don’t deliver.

This was a profoundly disappointing election from our lens and I think all three parties should be worried about how angry the seniors are rapidly becoming.”
